About

Fantastic Family Home Close to Pan Am Park

This three bedroom, two bathroom family-friendly home is a quick bike / bus ride or walk to the Pan Am Park, the largest sports cluster of the games. There is a large backyard with BBQ, vegetable garden, hammocks, and a sunny deck perfect for watching the sunset. If the outside is too warm, come in and enjoy the central air conditioning inside. The open concept first floor has a comfortable sitting area with a flat screen TV (and Netflix subscription). The dining room has seating for 6 (can be expanded to 8, high chairs available).

The kitchen contains everything people who love to cook might need and over looks the sunroom where you can enjoy a meal or watch the rain fall on a summer's night with all the windows open. There is a bright finished basement with a large flat screen TV and ample room for kids to play. The basement has a bathroom with a large shower. An air mattress can be added to the basement to create another bedroom should that be desired.

The second floor has three bedrooms with a bathroom including a deep soaker bath tub. The master bedroom is warm and inviting with a comfortable queen sized bed with fresh linens. There is also an office nook overlooking the sunny south-facing window. The second bedroom contains a crib and rocking chair and the third bedroom has a toddler bed and desk. There are plenty of toys and books allowing a family to pack lightly. Larger beds can be added to these spaces as requested. The washer and dryer are on on the second floor which makes laundry more convenient.

For family outings we can include bikes with child's seats as well as a stroller and wagon. Parking permits are available for street parking.

The Neighbourhood: Brockton Village (Dundas and Brock)

You are staying in the heart of Brockton Village, one of the best neighbourhoods in the city. We love this neighbourhood for its location and walkability. A two minute walk will take you to McCormick Park where you will find a playground, wading pool, basketball courts and café.  The McCormick Arena and Community Centre are next to the park. A 15 minute walk can take you to Dufferin Grove Park, Little Italy, Dufferin Mall, Queen West, Parkdale, Liberty Village. The house is surrounded by great cafés, bars, grocery stores, bakeries, galleries, and a wide range of restaurants ranging from cheap and cheerful to some of the best in the city. There is something for everyone in this area. You will love it here!

Getting Around
You will be an easy walk to the Dundas and Queen Street streetcar both of which take you to the downtown core, and to the Dufferin Bus which takes you up to the Bloor subway or down to the Exhibition where Pan Am Park is (the “action central” of the games). All of these transit lines run 24 hours a day.

Availability
The home is available to rent by the week for July and August. $2000 per week.
